🔥Wicklow County Council January 2020🔥 🚌: During this meeting we had the CEO of Bus Eireann give us a presentation on their routes in Wicklow. The CEO was very accepting of the fact that the 133 was not a perfect bus at all and accepted all our comments about its faults and ensured us that it will get better. During this, while highlighting its faults, I mentioned the app, which is highly unreliable, with busses being cancelled on it when in reality it isn't and also mentioned the inaccurate times for its arrival. The CEO announced that a new 133 timetable will be coming out on the 22nd of March and ensured me that big updates are coming to the app as the company is growing extremely fast and has the capital to improve their service. ℹ️: We had our monthly management report. Which gives us information ranging from how many people are on HAP to how many fires happened in the month. Due to my motion, this report now has how many smoky coal inspections happen in Wicklow. In this report, I requested all the air pollution reports of 2019 as currently, the report doesn't show where these air quality reports are coming from. In getting this data, I hope to bring it to the climate SPC and try to bring about an air quality project for Wicklow. As data is the most powerful weapon we have. 📃: As a council, we were introduced to this whole new system, which makes everything far more transparent and effective when dealing with officials and our employer (aka the taxpaying citizen). It works like this if a person has a complaint like a pothole on a public road. A councillor would create a file with the person's email( if they wish ). In doing this the person will receive live updates of what is happening with it automatically. If this road kept getting potholes, the information would be gathered by the councillor and could be used to make a far more accurate road budget. This system also creates a paper trail with officials. As some officials are excellent at responding to emails. But some are not so much, so this system creates more pressure on getting a response, which good for everyone! ❓❓While this isn't everything discussed. These are the most notable items on the agenda, which caught my eye. If you have any questions. Please message me or comment below❓❓

It was great to experience a bit of heritage week on a beautiful Sunday. The Wicklow lighthouse was flooded with families visiting and enjoying the scenic route to it. It's amazing to live in such a beautiful county filled with history and seeing people appreciate that, made it even better. I even bumped into a good few people from bray, who came out for the lighthouse open day and would recommend to anybody. #Wicklow #Wicklowtown #lighthouse #Sunday #Sea #history #GardenofIreland #beautiful
